Examples of The Many Items Displayed at
Willow Tree Cottage
Some new items just delivered to my space. All are redone in custom finishes after any repairs or modifications are complete. The small trunk was a wonderful treasure I found. All Hand Made out of solid wood, it needed some TLC in order to become a contemporary addition to any home.
The tables, again solid hardwood, were in outdated colors. After much sanding and sealing I was able to bring these to life in softer, more appropriate colors. All of the tables and of course the trunk have been top coated with a protective poly finish for long lasting beauty.

Below are some other examples of products I create. All are one of a kind previously loved pieces. I’ve started working on new projects including larger pieces. Below the photos are some examples of items I’ve repurposed with a new look.
This 5 drawer dresser is solid heavy wood. Now done in a soft seafoam finish with new pewter hardware she’s ready for a new home. The lighter dresser below is another new item, which sold immediately. EDIT: 2 hours after we got home from delivering this dresser we got a call from Seahorse Cove. “Your dresser is gone, sold right after you left. They just came and picked it up.” What a sweet confirmation that my work is finding a new home.

The Process
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a need to create. Finding treasures left behind inspire me to bring them back to life. I look for unique items with a goal to make them into something special. Sometimes they end up looking nothing like their original form, but unique in design and detail. My workshop is crowded with so many paints, appliques, foils and finishes – I sometimes spend more time looking for that exact color than putting the finish on the item.
All of the items and the vast majority of my materials are made in USA. So many of the pieces are actually ‘antiques’ by age. I just give them a new life.
Where Do I Work?
When we moved ashore after living on our trawler for 6 years, we were blessed with a large outbuilding on the property. My husband and I remodeled one end of it, added electricity, lighting and shelving to give me a workspace I could really enjoy. This year, thanks to a gift from our grandson, I now have air conditioning to get me through these humid coastal summers.
